 Welcome To the Barnstable Silver Bullets 25^th  Season

 Coaches:

 Practice Schedule:     For the remainder of our season

Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday  *  5:45 – 7:30 p.m.

 JV Games:

-Saturday, September 24th – JV game is away against Silver Lake, players needs to be in WHITE

  game jersey  

                      -Mite game starts at 9:00 players need to be there at 8:00

                      -Midget game starts at 10:00 players need to be there at 9:00

                      -Pee Wee game starts at 11:00 players need to be there 10:00

All Players must be there on time for their Game Day Weigh-IN.       ^

 Directions to JV games:

Directions to Silver Lake – Pottle St. -  Opanchiniski Field Complex.  Travel Time: Allow 1 hour. Take Route 3 north  to Exit 10. Take a left  at the end of the ramp. At the traffic light, take a left onto Route 3A south. Follow for about 1 mile to Pottle Street (on the right, just before the railroad  tracks). Pottle Street will become a dirt road that leads into the field complex. You may reach this field via Exit 9 but they have advised us that there is a lot of construction on that route.

 Varsity Games:

-Sunday,  September 25^th ,  Varsity game is away against Hingham, players need to be in WHITE game jersey

                                          IMPORTANT  VARSITY  FIELD  AND  TIME  CHANGE  *** ALERT 

 Hingham has moved the Varsity game (again) to Thayer Academy Turf Field Complex and also changed the  game start times to:  Mites – 1:30, Midgets – 3:00, Pee Wee- 4:30 halftimes will be brief for  Sunday, September 25^th.  This is due to field conditions at their usual fields. Please use this information and disregard directions and field times from our Weekly Handout.

Directions to Thayer Academy: Travel time 1 hour.

Thayer Academy Turf Field Complex – not at the main campus.

          Take Exit 17 off Route 3 North. Follow the rotary around past its first exit, past the on-ramp to Rte 3, and past the off-ramp from Rte 3. Then take a right onto Union Street and follow Union St. to the end. (Thayer Academy Main Campus will be in front of you.) Turn left onto Washington St. Follow thru 3 sets of lights. At the 4^th set of lights, Braintree Industrial Park is on your right. Enter park and take a left at the first set of buildings. Fields will be in front of you. Fans need to bring portable chairs as there is no place to sit and Hingham will have the Fenway Sausage guy selling food and drinks.

It is a tradition that on Friday before a game all Silver Bullet Players wear their game jersey to school unless their school requires a uniform, this week wear WHITE game jersey

 Youth Night  – Friday September 23^rd – BHS Red Raider Varsity Football Game:  Each year the Red Raiders recognize the Silver Bullets Players and Cheerleaders  during halftime of their game by introducing our teams and having them march onto the field. Players need to be in their RED game jersey. Admission is free for all Silver Bullets in their RED jerseys. We will assemble at the entrance gate to the track at the beginning of the 2^nd quarter. Coaches will then take players to the opposite end zone to line up .  After the halftime show parents should meet their players at the same entrance gate to the track as they exit the field. Come out and participate as we are recognized as the future of BHS Football. The game begins at 6:00 p.m.  vs. Sandwich High School.

 Miscellaneous:

-Throughout the season there will be a Weekly Information Handout regarding the upcoming  weeks schedule which is given out at the end of practice every Thursday Night and also posted on the website by date under Weekly Handouts.

-Parents, it is a lot of work to run this program and we need volunteer help to keep our costs down and   run a successful program. Please don’t hesitate to do more than 1 shift!!

-Don’t forget to check the website for updates, cancelations, schedules and events @  www.barnstablesilverbullets.org In the event of bad weather we try to post cancelations on the website by 5:00 p.m. Also check your email for important info.

 If you have already volunteered – stop by the Information Table and receive your Volunteer Refund. Feel free to volunteer again!!  Help is always needed and always welcome.
