Welcome To the Barnstable Silver Bullets 25^th  Season

 Practice Schedule:     For the remainder of our season

Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday  *  5:45 – 7:30 p.m.

 Special Practice being  held this Saturday September 10^th from 12-2.  If you have

a Baseball Tryout that conflicts with this practice please attend your tryout. We tried to arrange our practice to accommodate those trying out . This is unusual but with the bad weather this week we felt all our teams deserved an additional practice to prepare for their first game due to Tuesdays cancelled practice.

 Varsity Game:

-Sunday,  September 11^th ,  Varsity game is away at Silver Lake, players need to be in WHITE game jersey

                             -Mite game starts at 11:30 players need to be there at 10:00

                             -Midget game starts at 1:00 players need to be there at 11:30

                             -Pee Wee game starts at 2:30 players need to be there at 1:00

All players must be there on time for their Game Day Weigh-In.             ^

 -It is a tradition that on Friday before a game all Silver Bullet Players wear their game jersey to school unless their school requires a uniform, this week wear WHITE Away game jersey.

 JV games start next Saturday with a HOME game vs DY. Game Times – Mites @ 9:00- Midgets @ 10:00 –Pee Wee @ 11:00.  More info to follow next week.

 Directions to Silver Lake – Pottle St. -  Opanchiniski Field Complex.  Travel Time: Allow 1 hour. Take Route 3 north  to Exit 10. Take a right at the end of the ramp. At the traffic light, take a left onto Route 3A south. Follow for about 1 mile to Pottle Street (on the right, just before the railroad  tracks). Pottle Street will become a dirt road that leads into the field complex. You may reach this field via Exit 9 but they have advised us that there is a lot of construction on that route.

 Barnstable High School Varsity  Football  1^st Home Game – Friday, September 9^th @ 6:00 p.m.  vs Durfee HS.  Siobhan Magnus will sing the National Anthem as the Red Raiders pay tribute to a past football Captain  *  Fallen Hero*  Navy Seal Kevin Houston. Kevin was also a Silver Bullet. Along with our football brother –BHS Red Raiders –  we will all be wearing a KH sticker on our helmets to honor Kevin Houston. Stickers will be put on helmets tonight or Saturday at practice. Come out, pay tribute and support  our  football brothers. Wear RED or WHITE jersey and show your Raider Pride -get free admission. Players only.

 Volunteer Sign Up –Refunds available after your shift is completed. We have 4 Varsity home games so sign up early if you wish to work at one of these games. 36 positions available at Varsity games and 9 positions available at JV games. Shifts still open. Each player’s family is needed to do at least one shift  of  volunteering  during the season. Sign Up sheets are available at the Information Table.  Choose from volunteering during home games at  the  Gate,  the Snack Bar, or on the field doing the Line Markers. 

 Miscellaneous:

-Throughout the season there will be a Weekly Information Handout regarding the upcoming  weeks schedule which is given out at the end of practice every Thursday Night and also posted on the website by date under Weekly Handouts.

-Parents, it is a lot of work to run this program and we need volunteer help to keep our costs down and   run a successful program. Please don’t hesitate to do more than 1 shift!!

-Don’t forget to check the website for updates, cancelations, schedules and events @  www.barnstablesilverbullets.org In the event of bad weather we try to post cancelations on the website by 5:00 p.m. Also check your email for important info.
